Stephen Clark, PT, DPT, OCS, MHS, MBA brings a combination that is genuinely rare in physical therapy: the clinical credentials of a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, the academic rigor of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and an MBA in Healthcare Management, and over 35 years of hands-on practice ownership. Most consultants have one or two of those. Stephen has all of them.

A DPT tells you he understands clinical care. An OCS tells you he's tested at the highest level of orthopedic practice. An MBA tells you he can read your P&L, model your payer mix, and negotiate your contracts — and knows exactly what the numbers mean.

Early in his career, Stephen founded Golden Triangle Rehabilitation in La Jolla — building it from the ground up and successfully navigating its acquisition. That firsthand experience on both sides of a practice transaction is what separates his consulting from practitioners who have only advised others through the process.

He developed a national reputation as a clinical educator, instructing and leading seminars across the United States on orthopedic and sports physical therapy, and has presented to the Chinese Olympic Medical Committee and Beijing Olympic Center on advances in sports PT.

He then founded Athletic Physical Therapy, operating multi-site outpatient clinics in the LA area for over 25 years. For more than a decade alongside that, he has consulted with private practice owners across the United States — helping them improve financial performance, navigate critical business decisions, and successfully execute practice sales and exit strategies.
